Corporate Finance (Middle East) LLP
Background
Our Middle-East Infrastructure Advisory team is located in Dubai, covering the whole MENA region. The team is headed by Ivan Woods, who has over 15 years of experience - as both adviser and lender - on project financings and PPPs across the Middle East, Asia and Europe. The Dubai office receives strong support from our London headquarters, which has an impressive and proven track record in the UK and Internationally.
Internationally, BDO has infrastructure and project finance advisory capabilities in the Middle East & North Africa, continental Europe (including Russia), Asia-Pacific (including Australia) and North America.
Our Senior Adviser in the region, Jason Peers, is also a regional projects veteran, including as Head of Corporate Banking for Saudi International Bank in the mid-1990s, and subsequently establishing Barclays as the acknowledged leader in MENA project finance and syndicated lending.
BDO has acted as lead adviser to project developers, infrastructure investors and banks. On the public sector side, the group has worked with central government departments and agencies (including regulatory bodies), regional and local government entities, and project procurers (eg. healthcare and education providers).
The Government & Infrastructure teams have advised on over 200 public-private partnership (PPP) and infrastructure projects since 1996, ranging from UK public accommodation developments to complex, multi-billion-dollar international transportation projects.
Financial modelling is a particular strength - and all BDO’s infrastructure and project finance teams are supported by local specialists across 120 countries in corporate finance, accounting, taxation, Islamic finance, construction and property.
